High tide

Yesterday afternoon, we planned according to the tide times, and got to the beach at the perfect moment. I have never seen the tide as high as this before. This is where we go to swim. Now tell me that you don't want to come and visit me ;)

In the Summer months, in the late afternoon, everything gets hazy. My next post will be a small collection of images documenting the subtle shifts of light on land and sea.

Nilo is a water baby, there's no doubt about it.

Seed Heads and Circles

 

I'm on call all week and my cloth is back at the farm.

Enchanted by Reinaldo's recent image (top) of a seed head of the Arnica plant (Chaptalia nutens), this morning I started thinking about how one might represent these kinds of seed heads in simple stitches. Moving from the more immediate into the more abstract.
